Compliance Officer
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid role, requiring regular travel inclusive of overnight stays to sites across the UK
Package: Up to £40,000 pa. dependent upon experience

As a result of our continued growth and success, we are seeking a highly motivated and organised Compliance Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our established Compliance team, providing critical support to the Pro-Force regional operational teams and to the wider Greosn group, whilst ensuring they remain compliant with all legislative and ethical guidelines.
Key responsibilities:
Provide compliance support and guidance to regional operational teams on legislative requirements and ethical guidelines.
Conduct internal audits and compliance checks in accordance with company standards
Deliver office, accommodation, and fire risk assessments with the aid of the applicable software platform. Safety Culture
Ensure follow-up actions for audits and risk assessments are completed within the desired time frames.
Organise worker surveys and collate feedback to present to SLT
Plan, organise, and conduct client audits and on-site assessments.
Write up the audit reports, escalating findings where appropriate, and store audit electronically for future reference
Assisting the client with queries and ensuring follow-up actions are completed and recorded
Support internal investigations in line with the company case handling procedures.
Carry out worker interviews when required. (Additional languages spoken would be beneficial but not essential.)
Respond to worker communications in a timely and effective manner
Maintain internal records and logs to ensure compliance documentation is kept up to date.
Compliance knowledge and support with ethical/best practice standards (notably SMETA), audit preparation and attendance
Proposing ideas of policies, procedures and guidance plans
Key qualities:
A strong understanding of current legislation, such as Health & Safety At Work Act, Employment Rights Act, NMW, WTR, GLAA Licensing Standards, Employment Agency Standards and a desire to remain up to date with changes
Ability to confidently respond to advice and guidance requests on legislative, ethical and best practice issues
Previous experience in Agriculture/Horticulture and/or labour provision
Understanding of retailer and client-based compliance needs
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with clients and operational teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google suite of software and other related software applications.
What we’re looking for:
We need someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about compliance.
You will be a key member of the Compliance team.The Pro-Force Operations team will be reliant upon your expertise and guidance, and we expect you to be confident in your knowledge of compliance.
You will work both independently and as part of the team, manage your time effectively, reporting directly into the Compliance Manager.
You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team which values collaboration and demands high standards and attention to detail.
Please note that your own transport and a full (clean) UK driving licence is essential due to the need to travel to remote locations across the UK.
