​Grader Technician - Required for a busy, fast-paced packing environment based in Chartham near Canterbury,Kent .

Main Purpose:

To ensure all grading equipment is set up correctly and functioning efficiently to support continuous production. Must ensure fresh produce is accurately sorted according to size,weight and quiality standards. Also responsible for routine checks , minor maintenance,and reporting any faults. Must ensure the work area is kept clean and that Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Set up and run grading equipment according to specifications

  • Performs regular checks and adjustments to ensure consistent product quality

  • Communicate effectively with QC and line supervisors

  • Identify and resolve minor mechanical or process issues

  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations

  • Record and report quality concerns to relevant departments

Ideal Candidate Will Have :

  • Basic to sound understanding of the grader machinery and quality parameters

  • Experience working in packhouse or similar environment ( Level 1 : new or some experience / Level 2 : experience with Cannas , SFU , or Cherry Grader )

  • Ability to make decisions within agreed processes (e.g., small fault corrections )

  • Able to follow instructions

  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Essential Details & Conditions :

  • Pay Rates : £13.45 - £ 16.21 - DOE

  • Overtime available

  • Up to 12-hour shifts

  • Working week includes weekends and Bank Holidays

  • PPE provided

  • Full training provided

  • Own transport due to location

  • Good understanding of English

  • Proof of Right to Work required

  • Accomodation available if needed

  • Imediate start after induction

  • Potential for Temp to Perm role

  • Full Training Provided

  • Possibillity of this being Temp to Perm Role
