As a participant of the Picking School you shall undergo a training programme that will include both classroom and practical based tuition which will assist you gaining a better understanding of what is expected of you and to give you the tools necessary in enabling you to reach your targets.

Health & Safety
All workers are subject to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated regulations which means that all workers must work under conditions that are conducive to well being and give maximum safety in the workplace.
Safety Rules
- No worker shall intentionally or recklessly interfere with, or misuse, anything in the interest of Health and Safety.
- Always keep your work area clean and tidy.
- Read and obey safety warnings.
- It is forbidden to smoke in any vicinity other than a signed designated area, or whilst driving or handling machinery.
- Use all protective clothing/equipment provided as instructed.
- Do not enter areas which are designated as unsafe or work in progress.
Employee Responsibilities
- Working with care and attention to personal safety and that of fellow workers, or anyone who may be affected by your actions.
- Notifying your immediate Supervisor of any accident, failure or deterioration in machine, equipment/protective clothing or area of work.
- Wearing of sensible clothing for the type of work you are involved in, care to the consideration and condition of footwear as dictated by the nature of the work.
- Using care and consideration when you are lifting and handling objects that you consider to be heavy or of an awkward nature.
