Pro-Force has implemented an innovative Crop Harvesting Recruitment Service that has been designed for providing hand-picked seasonal labour to the Agricultural Sector placing specific emphasis on achieving performance and efficiency through continuous development and training of its crop pickers.

With the uncertainty of SAWS scheme to continue past 2010, with this in mind Pro-Force has developed the Picking School in order to facilitate to the industry a workable alternative.

All potential applicants are initially screened through a pre-selection questionnaire, on being successful; they will be invited to an Introduction and Selection seminar. The seminars are run in Cities across Europe.

The seminar includes a presentation by the Pro-Force Team, which includes the video, “Working for Pro-Force”, covering specific jobs, on Farms and in Pack Houses and a section on Accommodation. This is followed by question and answer session, and then a one on one interview.

Once successful candidates have accepted the positions, start dates and transport arrangements are made.  Transport is prepared either through air travel or by chartered coaches; in both circumstances Pro-Force Representatives will be present to see them to their final destinations.

After the workers have arrived at the site they will be formally instructed into the farm’s rules, regulations and general etiquette. Induction shall include Health and Safety, Health and Hygiene and the preparation of opening of Bank Accounts and obtaining National Insurance numbers.

For the first three days the staff shall participate in a specifically designed Training Programme learning the art of crop-picking and associated husbandry work. The ideology behind the programme is to achieve minimum site standards by day three and that through the dedicated training plan (which includes the supervisors) our staff will accomplish optimum performance.

Pro-Force team will work with your managers and supervisors to ensure all Pro-Force staff are hitting targets. Any further coaching will be done by Pro-Force staff.
We are fully committed to the Picking School concept and each farm that utilises our services will have a dedicated Manager and Supervisor to work in collaboration with the farm’s own team to ensure that the process is working to the benefit and the welfare of all concerned.

In our commitment, dedication and understanding we shall meet future challenges and provide to our clients a service that shall ultimately become the bench mark for quality throughout the industry.
