All Pro-Force staff is paid on an hourly rate basis and in compliance with the Agricultural Minimum Wage pays £5.74 per hour (October 1st 2008 – September 30th 2009) for the first 39 hours per week. Hours exceeding 39 per week is paid at £8.61 per hour plus any agreed bonus for the achievement of reaching set targets. During the season various incentives are introduced either on a day by day or week by week basis which is an ideal opportunity for those who work hard to earn significantly more money. After all it is why you chosen to come and work in the UK where the harder you work the more rewards are on offer.
All workers receive a weekly payslip itemising all hours worked within that particular pay week describing the gross weekly earnings minus Income Tax and National Insurance Contributions and Accommodation Charges if relevant.
Wages are paid weekly in arrears this means that for hours worked during a Monday to Sunday the pay will be in the bank account on the following Friday. Some Farms however have a different weekly working schedule, for example Saturday to Friday or Sunday to Saturday, we shall fall in line to whatever the farms normal procedure is though still pay for those hours worked on the Friday following end of week.
All workers must complete a P46 before starting work.
All workers accumulate Holiday Pay from the first day until the last day of work. Holiday pay is calculated as a percentage on the average hours worked per week and the total number of days worked. Holiday Pay will be paid to workers either as annual leave or at the end of the contract.
Most of the work that we offer is based on 39 hours per week and indeed many of the farms can offer more hours if there is an abundance of crop, however it may be that there is not enough work due to bad weather or that the fruit is not ripe for picking so please be aware that there may be times when this situation may occur.
